Born on March 30, 2011, in Youngstown, Ohio, Gage was the beloved son of Erik and Jessica (Brooks) Ault. From an early age, he brought joy and laughter to his family through his caring nature, curiosity, and ability to make others feel welcome. His presence was a source of comfort and happiness, and his memory will remain deeply cherished by those who loved him.
An incoming sophomore at Salem High School, Gage was actively involved in both football and track. He enjoyed the camaraderie of athletics and the friendships he developed through sports. Away from school, he loved playing video games, spending time fishing, and creating memories with friends and family. One of his greatest joys was sharing his love for The Wizard of Oz, a movie that held a special place in his heart and reflected his appreciation for imagination and adventure.
Gage shared a close bond with his siblings, Ethan C. Ault, Mackenzie N. Collins, and Lirah Brooks, and was surrounded by the love of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. Those relationships helped shape the caring and compassionate young man he became.

A gathering in Gage’s honor will be held at the First Methodist Church of Salem on July 11, 2026, followed by a Celebration of Life. As family and friends come together wearing his favorite color, red, they will celebrate a remarkable young life whose legacy of kindness, friendship, and love will never be forgotten.
